Overview
The workflow checks your shipment data on a schedule and flags real issues the moment they happen: late deliveries, customs holds, missing proof of delivery, and stale tracking. For every exception, an AI agent drafts two things — a short internal summary and recommended action for your dispatch team, and a separate, professional update for the customer, written strictly from the actual shipment data with no invented details. High-severity issues (customs holds, significantly late loads) are automatically escalated to your dispatcher. Routine updates are sent straight to the customer. Every exception is logged for a full audit trail, and a built-in deduplication check stops the same issue from triggering repeat alerts. What's included: The full exception-detection logic (rule-based, not AI-guessed — so you always know exactly why something was flagged) AI-powered summary and customer-message generation, using a structured output format for reliable results Severity-based routing between dispatcher and customer Automatic logging to a spreadsheet for tracking and reporting Rate-limit-safe batch processing, so it runs reliably even with large shipment volumes Setup: Built on n8n with Groq for AI generation and Google Sheets as the data source — easily adaptable to a real TMS, tracking platform, or database with minor configuration changes. SMTP email delivery included, so it works with any email provider. Ideal for: freight brokers, 3PLs, and logistics operations teams who want to stop manually monitoring shipments and start getting notified only when something actually needs attention.

- Automatic
- What a person does
- "Setup, once: connect the store/order system and the notification channel (e.g. email or Slack) using the buyer's own credentials. Ongoing: review delay alerts and decide whether to contact the customer." If your workflow sends customer messages automatically with no review, say that instead. If nothing is needed after setup, write "None".
